Am I a Good Candidate for Body Sculpting?

Am I a Good Candidate for Body Sculpting?

Dieting and working out can help you lose weight effectively. Unfortunately, your genes and hormones determine your body fat distribution.

If you have stubborn pockets of fat that aren’t responding well to a healthy lifestyle, or if you have cellulite and skin laxity, Dr. Pompeyo Chavez, our expert at Soulage Wellness & Aesthetic Center in Bastrop, Texas, can help with Evolve Total Body Transform or Venus Legacy treatments.

Radiofrequency treatments are noninvasive, yet they have the unique capability to blast fat cells without harming the surrounding tissues, and they can improve the appearance of skin all over your body.

Understanding body sculpting

With the device of choice in hand, Dr. Chavez places several applicators on your skin, sending out radiofrequency energy to your fat cells, which kills them off while leaving surrounding tissues unharmed. The device has a built-in cooler, so you won’t feel any discomfort during the treatment.

For the treatment of cellulite and loose skin, Dr. Chavez uses applicators to deliver multi-polar radiofrequency and pulsed electromagnetic fields to heat your skin, which triggers collagen production, tightening the skin and improving the appearance of cellulite.

Body contouring treatments can be used all over your body, including your chin, back, arms, abdomen, buttocks, upper legs, and lower legs.

Downtime and recovery

Due to the noninvasive nature of the treatments, you can return to your usual routine without making any changes. For best results, you may need to invest in six to eight sessions spaced a couple of weeks apart.

It takes a couple of weeks for your lymphatic system to eliminate the fat cells. As a result, the results aren’t immediate. Once your fat cells are eliminated, your body doesn’t create new ones to replace them, so the results are permanent.

However, it’s important to maintain your weight after the treatment. Even though the dead fat cells won’t return, the surrounding cells can increase in size to create fat pockets.

Find out if you’re a good candidate for body sculpting

Ideal candidates for body sculpting treatments are within 20 to 30 pounds of their ideal weight. Although body sculpting treatments can reduce fat in the treated area, they aren’t meant to be used as weight loss tools.

If your main concerns are unwanted pockets of fat, or if you have skin laxity and cellulite, contact us to schedule an appointment. Dr. Chavez can help you get the body shape of your dreams in a way that dieting and weight loss alone can’t.
